East Park Lake Reopens

People will have another spot for outdoor recreation this summer. The Bureau of Reclamation`s Dakotas Area Office, working with the North Dakota Game and Fish Department, has completed their construction projects and reopened East Park Lake north of Wilton.

According to the bureau, visitors to East Park Lake will notice several improvements.

"This is positive move forward and further benefits the visitor`s ability to enjoy our public lands," said Joe Hall, Division Chief Environmental Resource Management. "We`re excited for the public to use the new handicap accessible walkway to the restrooms, new boat ramp and new boat trailer parking area."

The bureau asks that visitors follow the posted rules and regulations, stay on established roads and trails, dispose of garbage appropriately and have fun.
