"There is no rational explanation for not wearing your seat belt," said Senior Patrolman Aaron Moss.
In Minot, there are a few ways seat belt enforcement can occur.
"If the offender is an adult, it is a secondary enforcement, meaning we will stop the offender if we witness another violation and we can take enforcement action on one or the other or both. With juveniles, meaning the driver or passenger is under the age of 18 it`s a primary offense and we can stop them immediately," Moss said.
Just a simple click, and you can save your life and others around you.
Even in some cases, something like an accident can be a constant reminder to always buckle up.
"I was in a wreck earlier and there was no seat belts." Although Twocrow was injured on the job, he still believes it is vitally important to wear your safety belt.
So just remember, before you put the key in the ignition, always click in that seat belt before you drive.
